This guest suite is a Scandinavian-style furnished rental in a quiet and safe Mount Pleasant neighborhood, a block off of Coleman Boulevard. With its own private entry and free parking, experience living in one of Mount Pleasant's oldest and most elegant neighborhoods.
Located within walking distance to the restaurants, nightlife, and shopping on Coleman Blvd and Shem Creek, you'll have easy access to fresh-off-the-boat seafood and beautiful sunset views at happy hour. Spot dolphins from the Shem Boardwalk, hop on a sailboat for a sunset cruise or get into the creek in a rented kayak.
Also within an easy drive? The beach of Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms, the golfing at Patriots Point, and the historic Downtown Charleston just over the majestic Ravenel Bridge.
Renovated in the early 2020's, The Camellia Retreat offers two main rooms. Enter into a living area featuring a kitchenette, dining area for two, and a small couch. This room leads to the large bedroom featuring a Queen bed, plenty of underbed storage, a large smart TV, and a closet that holds a washer and dryer combo. Off of the bedroom is a compact bathroom with a shower. Please refer to the floor plan included at the end of the photos.
The kitchenette offers guests the ability to cook small meals, including a one-plate cooktop, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, and a small fridge with a freezer compartment. The kitchenette is equipped with a pot, a pan, and dishes for 2 persons.
In blooming season, guests walk to their private door amidst a Camellia garden, sprawling as nature intended.

PARKING: Free parking in front of the house. Guest must be respectful of the property of others and local parking laws. Guest will not park in owner's driveway. No blocking of other vehicles or any driveway. No boats, trailers, motorhomes, motorcycles, scooters, golf carts, or any other type of vehicle that is not a car or SUV without prior permission. Guests are not to plug any vehicle into the power outlets in the home, including but not limited to EV (Electric Vehicles).
No Parties or Events.
No guests that are not registered with host.
No smoking/candles inside or outside on property
No EV (Electric Vehicles) to be connected to outlets
Quiet Hours 9pm to 7am
**Host/Property Manager reserves the right to terminate the rental immediately due to non-compliance of any of the rules listed above.
REGISTRATION: All guests are required to fill out a Point of Contact including home address, and register prior to arrival with names, DOB of all guests, vehicle information, and a copy of drivers license (email to HCVR), and signing a Rental Agreement which will be sent to you via email immediately. After that information is complete you will receive your confirmation email. All guests receive check-in information, including door and wifi codes, 48 hours prior to arrival via email.
SECURITY DEPOSIT $200 as a credit card hold, to be released 7 days past checkout if no issues - security deposit required directly with HCVR. HCVR is a software-connected Host that can charge and collect certain fees using a separate payment method outside of vacation rental portal websites.
TV: Please note that we offer one SmartTV. Guests are welcome to log into their private app accounts and are responsible for logging off before they leave. We do not offer cable, nor local TV channels.
CANCELLATION: Please review the cancellation policy. There is a 3% credit card processing fee for all cancellations. Please consider "Cancel for Any Reason" Travel Insurance - either through us or elsewhere. Hurricane-related refunds are only given if a mandatory evacuation order for Charleston County is publicly proclaimed by the Governor of SC for the dates of your stay. This does not apply to weather events in a guest's location of departure or transit. No other weather-related, sickness, or flight cancellation events will be refunded, and please note that HCVR follows the cancellation policies. Please note that hurricane season is from early June to late November. Holy City Vacation Rentals strongly suggests all guests consider the purchase of Travel Insurance to safeguard their travels from unforeseen circumstances.
CONSUMABLES: We offer starter coffee pods/creamer/sugar for the Keurig coffee maker, and may include hotel-size consumables such as shampoo and conditioner.
If you believe you'll need more than those small amounts, we ask that you consider bringing additional supplies.
CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES: We ask minimal of our guests upon check-out, but do require the following:
* Leave bed unmade, but not stripped.
* Leave towels on the floor of the bathroom.
* Discard all foods from the refrigerator and freezer - Don't leave anything at all in the fridge or the freezer.
* Place closed trash bag(s) into the trash bin located next to the main driveway for the house.
* Check to make sure you have taken all of your belongings!
* Close/lock all of the doors and windows.
* Text us when you've checked out!
SECURITY CAMERAS: This property is monitored via external perimeter security cameras overlooking exterior public areas such as parking and common areas. Security cameras record during a guest reservation.
